1. What this policy covers
This policy covers accumulatorlab.com and the Accumulator Lab beta. It does not cover bookmaker sites, Google, or other third-party services that you choose to open from our site. Those services have their own privacy notices.
2. Information we use
- Member details: if you sign in, we receive your email address and may receive your name from the sign-in service. We use these to create your member profile, display name and handle.
- Published accumulator data: the name of a published accumulator, its selections, bookmaker, odds, results and virtual ranking performance.
- Support messages: information you send when you contact us, including your contact details and the content of your message.
- Technical and security information: server logs and basic request information such as IP address, browser, device and error details may be processed to run and protect the service.
- Optional analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics helps us understand visits and product use.
- Aggregate feed operations: we count requests made by our server to the odds provider and retain anonymous bookmaker price observations by fixture and day. This lets us control feed costs and produce price rankings without attaching those observations to a member identity.
The stake you enter into the comparison builder is used to calculate estimated returns. It is not your betting account balance, is not used to place a bet, and is not recorded in published rankings. We do not take deposits or receive your bookmaker payment details.
3. Why we use information
- To provide member accounts, published accumulators and rankings when you ask us to do so.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the beta, based on our legitimate interest in providing a reliable comparison service.
- To measure paid feed usage and calculate aggregate, like-for-like bookmaker price indexes without identifying individual visitors.
- To measure product use through Google Analytics only when you have given consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations and handle disputes or claims.
4. Who information may be shared with
We use service providers for hosting, data storage, authentication and security. If you accept analytics, Google processes analytics data for us. Our server requests football fixture and odds data from our odds provider, but we do not need to send your member identity with those requests.
When you choose to open a bookmaker, you leave Accumulator Lab. The bookmaker will receive ordinary visit information and will process any account or bet data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information where legally required or to protect users and the service.
5. International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where data-protection law requires it, we will rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose described above, including service operation, security, legal and accounting needs. Member and published-ranking records may be kept while the account or leaderboard feature remains active. Support and technical records are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer reasonably needed. Analytics retention follows our current Google Analytics settings.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a copy of your personal data, object to certain uses, and withdraw consent. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Age limit, security and changes
Accumulator Lab is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly provide the service to children. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security.
We may update this policy as the beta, providers or law change. The date at the top will show the latest version. Material changes will be made reasonably prominent on the site.
