Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Accumulator Lab uses, why we use it and the choices available to you.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers accumulatorlab.com and the Accumulator Lab beta. It does not cover bookmaker sites, Google, Meta, or other third-party services that you choose to open from our site. Those services have their own privacy notices.

2. Information we use

  • Member details: if you join or sign in, we use your email address and account preferences to create and operate your member profile. Your password is stored only as a salted, one-way cryptographic hash; we cannot read the original password.
  • Free-account advertising: free accounts display labelled advertising placements. The initial placements are Accumulator Lab house promotions and do not create an additional advertising profile. If we add a third-party advertising provider that uses optional storage or personalised data, we will update this notice and request any consent required first.
  • Published accumulator data: the name of a published accumulator, its selections, bookmaker, odds, results and virtual ranking performance.
  • Support messages: information you send when you contact us, including your contact details and the content of your message.
  • Technical and security information: server logs and basic request information such as IP address, browser, device and error details may be processed to run and protect the service.
  • Optional analytics and advertising measurement: if you accept optional cookies, Google Analytics helps us understand visits and product use. Our first-party product measurement also uses random browser and session identifiers, first-touch campaign details and the actions you take, such as opening the Acca tool, adding a selection or opening a bookmaker. The Meta Pixel helps us measure page visits, coarse builder milestones, completed registrations, checkout starts and advertising attribution. We do not send Meta the teams, fixtures, exact selections, odds, bookmaker, stake or potential return with those builder milestones. If Stripe then confirms a Founders Club payment, we may send Google Analytics a completed-purchase event using the checkout reference and a pseudonymous client identifier. After our server creates a free account, we may send Meta a completed-registration event; after a verified payment, we may send a completed-purchase event. Those server events use a cryptographically hashed email address and the Meta browser or click identifiers created after your consent.
  • Aggregate feed operations: we count requests made by our server to the odds provider, response time and success or failure reason, and retain anonymous bookmaker price observations by fixture and day. We also count server-confirmed comparison attempts and their outcome. This lets us control feed costs, improve reliability and produce price rankings without attaching those aggregate observations to a member identity.
  • Abuse prevention: we turn basic request information into a short one-way anonymous visitor code. We use that code to count live-feed requests and spot unusually heavy automated use. A shared site-wide safety limit protects the data allowance. We do not store the raw IP address in this request-usage table.

The stake you enter into the comparison builder is used to calculate estimated returns. It is not your betting account balance, is not used to place a bet, and is not recorded in published rankings. We do not take deposits or receive your bookmaker payment details.

3. Why we use information

  • To provide member accounts, published accumulators and rankings when you ask us to do so.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the beta, based on our legitimate interest in providing a reliable comparison service.
  • To measure paid feed usage and calculate aggregate, like-for-like bookmaker price indexes without identifying individual visitors.
  • To enforce fair-use limits and automatically protect the service from scraping, excessive refreshing and unexpected feed costs.
  • To measure consented product journeys through our first-party analytics and Google Analytics, including verified membership purchases, and advertising attribution through the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and handle disputes or claims.

4. Who information may be shared with

We use Cloudflare for hosting, security and database storage; Resend for service and briefing emails; and Stripe for membership payments. If you accept optional cookies, Google processes analytics data for us and Meta processes Pixel, completed-registration and completed-purchase event data for advertising attribution. Our server requests football fixture, team and odds data from Odds-API.io and Sportmonks, but we do not need to send your member identity with those requests.

When you choose to open a bookmaker, you leave Accumulator Lab. The bookmaker will receive ordinary visit information and will process any account or bet data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information where legally required or to protect users and the service.

5. International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where data-protection law requires it, we will rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards.

6. How long we keep information

We keep member profiles while an account remains active or until a valid deletion request is completed, unless a legal, fraud-prevention or accounting obligation requires a limited record to be retained. Password reset links expire automatically and cannot be reused. Support and technical and first-party product-event records are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed to improve or protect the service, resolve a request or meet a legal obligation. The random browser identifier and saved campaign details remain in your browser until you decline optional tracking or clear site data. Google Analytics and Meta retention follows our current settings and applies only after consent.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a copy of your personal data, object to certain uses, and withdraw consent. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

8. Age limit, security and changes

Accumulator Lab is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly provide the service to children. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security.

We may update this policy as the beta, providers or law change. The date at the top will show the latest version. Material changes will be made reasonably prominent on the site.
